A wedding invitation can be the first decision a couple makes that so publicly reflects their tastes and the style of their wedding, or it can be left until the last minute.

Invitations also express to the invitees the general tone of the wedding whether it is formal, fun, intimate, spectacular, or low-key. One of the most important points of wedding invitation etiquette, however, is that your invitations communicate the details about the day's proceedings.

As a guide we recommend you send out your invitations 8-10 weeks prior to your wedding date. However, if your wedding is abroad or falls on a bank holiday you should consider sending your invitations out as soon as possible. The sooner the better.

When deciding on the quantity, allow one wedding invitation per household or family. Please be advised to order a few extra invitations in case of any unanticipated additions.
